Ken Blake was the overall best performed Australian racer of the 1970s with five national championships: the 1970 Unlimited, 1971 500cc, 1973 250cc and 1974 350 & 500cc events; three Bathurst grands prix victories, the 1970 Unlimited, and 1973 125 & 250cc races; three Castrol Six-Hour wins and two runners-up positions, as well as victory in the 1974 Australian TT, the 1975 Bathurst production race, and the 1976 Australian 500 TT at Laverton for a total of 14 major victories in the '70s.
