Johnny Cecotto lost control of his factory Yamaha 750 at the end of the first lap on a still-wet track firing out of the chicane towards Assen's front straight in the Dutch round of the 1976 Formula 750 Prix. His bike caught fire and ignited into a big fireball. That fireball became even bigger when local hero Wil Hartog hit Johnny's fuel tank, which exploded. Luckily everyone escaped unharmed although the normally calm Cecotto was somewhat shocked at what happened.
